CEng MICE - Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE)

Tunnelling engineers hold Chartered status through the Institution of Civil Engineers. ICE has a specialist Tunnelling and Underground Space Panel. The British Tunnelling Society is the specialist technical body for tunnelling in the UK. Active BTS membership indicates genuine involvement in the tunnelling industry and access to the latest technical guidance and research.

Always confirm Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) is held and appropriate to the project value. Given the catastrophic risk associated with tunnelling failures, PII cover of at least £10 million is appropriate for major schemes.
