On commercial and larger residential schemes they work alongside an electrical engineer as part of an M&E team, producing a coordinated services design that satisfies Part L and Part F of the Building Regulations, meets the client's comfort requirements, and can be commissioned and maintained efficiently. On smaller projects the same firm may provide both mechanical and electrical design.
